LA Public Schools Foundation

The LAHS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION is proud to announce our partnership with:

The Los Alamos Public Schools Foundation !!

The Los Alamos Public Schools Foundation is a Resource for You!

Funding formulas have changed over the years, and it’s no longer a given that Los Alamos schools will have the necessary resources to be cutting edge. That’s why a group of citizens started the LAPS Foundation in 2005. The Foundation exists to provide the resources for innovative learning at all Los Alamos Public Schools, and to make sure they have the resources for a world class education. Since inception, the LAPS Foundation has raised over $1.5 million!

But, the LAPS Foundation doesn’t stop its support after you cross that graduation stage at LAHS.

Have a class reunion coming up? The organization can arrange for your class to have a guided tour of the renovated high school. Want to stay connected with your alma matter? Sign up for the Foundation’s quarterly alumni newsletter. Care to show your Hilltopper spirit? The LAPS Foundation offers alumni shirts for sale at CB Fox in downtown Los Alamos. And probably best of all, they have all the LAHS yearbooks and senior photos from 1949 to present ONLINE! Login now to access every bad picture we ever took at LAHS! Visit the Foundation’s website to learn more about how they support alumni.

Give Back to the Schools That Gave You Your Start

Alumni are encouraged to give back to their schools through a donation to the LAPS Foundation. With your support, the Foundation can continue to provide an exceptional educational experience for many generations of Hilltoppers to come. Learn more about how you can give back.

All of the Student and Teacher Photos Shown in Our Alumni Website Are Provided by the LAPS Foundation Thanks to Generous Donors

In May of 2015, the LAHS class of 1964 felt it was important to digitize the LAHS yearbooks and senior photos, so they made a large donation to the LAPS Foundation for that purpose. Subsequently the classes of 1965 and 1980 also donated to the cause. With these funds, and supplemented by the LAPS Foundation, the organization was able to undertake the huge task of scanning every LAHS yearbook back to 1949, and scanning and cropping around 18,000 senior photos! These were put into a searchable database on the Foundation’s website, which continues to be maintained by the Foundation. Thanks to these donors and the efforts of the LAPS Foundation, the LAHS Alumni Association is able to use the digital senior photos on our own site. To view the full yearbooks or search the senior database, visit lapsfoundation.com/alumni-login-and-registration.
