Instructions for First Time Visitors

Please read through these instructions. You'll find important information here that will maximize your experience using our site.

On this page you will find the following:

This site was created to promote friendship among classmates of Los Alamos High School (Los Alamos New Mexico) who have shared a unique experience of going to school at LAHS over the last  74 years (1944-2018).   Photos for each subsequent class will be added no earlier than one year from their graduation date.  All LAHS teachers past and present are also asked to join.  Besides connecting  and re-connecting  with our classmates in our same year we want to include individuals from multiple classes.

The Los Alamos Alumni Association is a non-profit organization that plans a multi-class Reunion every 5 years. The next multi-class reunion is scheduled for the summer of 2020.

The Mass Reunions serve as a way to look back at memories reconnecting with good friends and making new memories, meeting new friends.

The event serves as a fundraising effort for the Alumni Scholarship in  Memory of Ms. Shirley Fries Scholarship Fund.

The wonderful part about this site is that it came pre-setup by Class Creator.  Betty Anne transferred all files from the original website created by Dennis Smith.  Viki and Betty Anne added names that were included on the senior pages from the Los Alamos Public Schools Foundation's Digital Yearbook 1944 and continuing to 1985.  Bob Hicks added the names from 1986 - 2017.  In addition, Bob added photos for every LAHS teacher and administrator.

Bob also added junior or sophomore photos of all classmates who may not have graduated with their class (they may have moved out of the district, dropped out, or were drafted--also some students were successful at being absent on all photo days!)

  • Anyone who attended LAHS is welcome on this site, regardless of your graduation status.
  • All photos courtesy of the  Los Alamos Public School Foundation's excellent Digital Year Books

Visiting and remembering our classmates and teachers who have died is accomplished by visiting the "In Memory"  tab and selecting any year of graduation.

  • A rose after the name means there is additional information in the comments.  Sometimes just the time of year or month is known, often the exact date is listed.
  • All known dates of death have been posted and all known obituaries have been included available obituaries and photos have been posted.
  • You may feel the need to post a comment about a deceased classmate or teacher and that capability has been added to each page. The information tells the story of how Los Alamos has changed over the years and has a treasure of life lessons in the stories of  the lives of former Hilltoppers.

Another goal of this site is to create connections for classmates of all ages to meet and communicate securely,

  • Some classmates are working outside the country and traveling to a reunion would not be possible.  Others aren't able to travel due to health concerns.  We hope this website is able to give participants a way to get to know other LAHS alumni from other classes.
  • A fun feature of this web site is live chat is available.

This site is secure and private!

Everything you need to know about setting up a profile to gain access to the rest of our page is on this page. If you have questions, please contact Viki Gore.

In order to access the pages that are password protected on this site, you must set up a profile by providing a minimum of your email address, and a password.

To set up your profile: locate the "Classmate Profiles" link and locate your name and click on it. Follow the prompts to create your profile.

Private information like your email address, home address, and phone numbers will not be visible to fellow classmates. We collect mailing addresses in the event that we need to contact you by snail mail or phone. Your information will never be given to other classmates without your permission.

We encourage you to add a current picture to your profile as a master photo. This photo will be displayed in various areas around the site. It's also helpful to upload an additional "Now" photo, and a "Then" photo. Classmates will enjoy seeing how you've changed!

If your name is not already on the site, but you were part of the Los Alamos High School Classes of 1944 - 2018, contact us and your name will be added.

Updates: If you change your email address, snail mail address, or phone number, please update your Contact Info so we have up to date information. That way you'll always be in the know about what your classmates are up to!

Choosing a password: Passwords do not need to be the high security style recommended for some sites. Choose something simple that you are certain you will remember. Clicking the "Remember Me" will allow you to bypass entering the password each time you visit, but eventually the "remember me" will fail (for instance when you get a new computer). Please make note of your password!

If you forget your password simply click on "forgot password". If you have several email accounts, and you don't remember the one you used to set-up your account, contact Viki Gore. This could take a while so please be patient.

The site assembles a "missing classmate" list for us, based solely on the names of people who don't have profiles; so until you have a profile, the site will consider you "missing".

  • Some classmates have completely avoided providing any contact information.  Just because they are listed as missing does not mean they have passed away, it simply means we have no idea how to contact them,
  • Also, please note: We need your help to contact EVERY classmate. If you have information about any classmate, listed or not listed, please contact Viki Gore

If you wish to share your email address or other personal information within a message written on our site, the site will not block you from doing so.
