Following graduation at LAHS in 1969, I went on to earn a degree in journalism and public relations at NMSU in Las Cruces and attended graduate school at CU-Boulder. I served as an undergraduate student assistant and graduate student assistant in the athletic sports information departments at NMSU and CU-Boulder before starting my career. I began my 43 year career in 1975 as a public relations manager with Mountain Bell and later served as a district manager with U S WEST, a public policy director with QWEST and a local and state government affairs director in Colorado for CenturyLink. I retired in 2018 and am volunteering with CU-Boulder and Pueblo Community College. I most recently served as a co-chair of fundraising for the LAHS Class of 1969 fifty year reunion and helped raise $12,451 for teacher grants, professional development and student scholarships.
