Ginny was a scream.  She & I had fun during the summers as well as while in school.  A very determined gal, yet always able to respond with a good smile regardless the situation.  She & I worked on our 1977 La Loma staff.  What a joy she brought to class each day and more than once did the class break out laughing.  The entire class was a great group that brought a lot of contrast to produce one of the best La Loma's in recent years.  Ginny and I shared common friends as well as having a good time in school and life.  I remember when I found out she joined the U.S. Navy and she most of her working days preforming duty to our country.  How proud I was to join the Army and wasn't surprised when at our 10 year reunion, she was still in the Navy!  Helping people was always important to Ginny.

Since finding this website, I've made several comments about classmates who have passed.  This is not to bring bad feelings to anyone, but if anyone still thinks we are invincable, better check your Driver's License!  As we all now deal with elderly or passing parents, relatives, and friends, please tell us where you are in this life.  You don't need to be alone or wondering if you alone have a certain melancholy feeling.  Sharing time with someone you know or once knew brings much joy to boht and we don't need to wait till there's another passing to have remorse that we didn't call sooner.  JohnC

Beverly was a good friend.  In the later years here in LA, we once again became aquainted as she was changing her life toward retirement.  She became a customer of J&L Storage, so my wife came to know her and her caring personality as well.  That caring got her murdered by her own brother, in in LA.  If you think things don't happen to people you know, please don't take that whim for granted and reach out to any friend you have, now or from long ago.  I'm here to help if I can.  John Courtright

I always enjoyed Pam, a nice girl.  Didn't know she lived in ABQ!  Everyone should work to stay in touch.  You never know when you may need a friend or some help.  We all wonder what happens after our lives divide.  Wish I knew what happened to other friends as well as Pam.  Please consider posting such important information.  Happy 2024 everyone, may we all proceed with the wind at our backs, sun in our faces.
